********* practices
Attempted a DSL line transfer, was charched R165 instead of the R150 as advertised. Logged a ticket to get it sorted out. Then receive an invoice on the 24th June with an amount of R299 (R150 for DSL line + R149 for data). Last night, debit order goes off for R417.57. So I'm being charged R118.57 extra. I phone them trying to find out what's going on, apparently they charged me pro rata for line rental for June, but it's not reflected on the invoice! They cannot reverse the charges & there's nothing that can be done from their side they say. In my opinion this is *****ing. How do you invoice an amount & then debit more than that amount?? I'll never trust webafrica ever again. Most ********* ISP I've ever seen, they can compete with Comcast for worst ISP!
We can understand why you're upset and why this matter is confusing.
With that said, when a customer moves their line over to us we invoice them from the time we take over the line (pro-rata), therefore you were invoiced an amount of R115.50 from the 10-06-2015 to 30-06-2015 and then the amount of R3.07 is for the upgrade from Home ADSL Uncapped 2Mbps => Home ADSL: 40GB + 160GB and that all amounts to a total of R118.57. And this invoice was sent to the registered email address on the account - we don't bill customer's account without sending them an invoice first.
We hope that this matter has been resolved.
