Daylight *******!!

I am irate - I took the fibre on the 20/08/2026 and paid the full 429.00 - today it the 01/09/2026 and I wake up to the message that these people are trying to debit. When I signed off the Vuma site, this says that it a 30day basis and my initial date goes on to be my payment date. My pay date is the 20th of every month. Even worse, I launch the live chat and get a girl called Lerato, she tells me that this was prorata - how is it prorata when I paid a full fee? Which by the way I only started using services on the 25th of August as there were challenges with the activation

Hi Sanele,

We understand your frustration regarding the additional amount deducted and appreciate that you are looking for a clear explanation of the billing. Seeing a charge on your account shortly after activation can understandably be confusing, especially when you were expecting your next payment to only be due later in the month. To clarify, the initial payment of R429 is collected upfront before the service can be activated. Once the service goes live, a pro-rata charge is raised for the remaining days of the current month until the normal billing cycle begins. This is why you may see an additional amount billed shortly after activation. For a more detailed breakdown of how Vuma Reach billing works, please refer to the following guide: https://knowledge.webafrica.co.za/index.php/knowledge-base/vuma-reach-billing-explained/We hope this provides some clarity regarding the charge reflected on your account. Your feedback regarding the billing communication and support experience will also be shared with our Service Quality Team for review and improvement.Should you require any further assistance, please free free to send us a direct message and we'll gladly help.

Warm regards,
Webafrica Crew
