Complaints are ignored and you are passed from one useless consultant to another!

On the 13th May at 4:03pm I emailed this very serious complaint (below) to ***. The email never bounced and has remained ignored to this day! Webafrica is in my experience the most *********** ISP in the country!

"Dear Sir / Madam

This refers to the email below, to which I've had no response.

I was disconnected last Friday 8th April by Metrofibre and was without Wifi for four frustrating days because of the failure of Consultant "Gerald M" to rescind my Webafrica cancellation, and his failure to reissue a new activation order to Metrofibre on 23 April 2026.

Metrofibre subsequently cancelled my Wi-Fi connection. Only late this Monday, the 11th, did Zubair E issue a request for reactivation after I (a) received no call-back from Saturday to Monday, and (2) was repeatedly passed from one clueless consultant to another who had no notion of the problem or how to correct it! I can list them all:

Nthabiseng Nkomo Thandokazi K. Mandisi M. Amanda C. Maki S. Sune J. Clinton C. Maki Souls Sune Jason Faieka Abrahams Relebogile Tabo.

None of these consultants understood the problem; they simply ended the chat, or passed me to the next equally unhelpful consultant. It was only Zubair E. in "provisioning" who finally understood the problem and solved it after four days of extreme frustration.

I want to know how I will be compensated for (a) the stress this caused me and the annoyance it caused my wife on Mother's Day who simply couldn't relax and watch movies all day as she wished, and (b) the fact that I paid for the wifi service and was denied the service for four days because of the incompetence of your consultants.

Please provide a reference number for this complaint as I may refer the matter to ICASA should your response be totally unsatisfactory.

Regards....."

I am still waiting for a reference number so I can lodge a complaint with ICASA.

Hi  Carlos,
We understand how upsetting and unacceptable this situation has been, especially after going through days without service, repeated handovers between consultants, and then feeling completely ignored after submitting a formal complaint. This should not have happened, and it is not the standard of service we want any Webafrica client to experience.
We acknowledge the disruption you faced during those four days without connectivity and the frustration caused by the lack of ownership and follow‑up. We have logged a credit request for the four days your service was down. This request is currently pending approval, and once approved, the credit will reflect on your next invoice.
If you require any further assistance, please feel free to continue engaging with us via Hello Peter.
Your feedback regarding the unanswered complaint email, the handling of the cancellation reversal, and the overall support experience will be shared with our Service Quality Team for review and improvement, as clear communication and accountability are essential.

Warm regards,
Webafrica Crew
