Cancelled Account, No refund and continues debit .
Cancelled Account, No Refund, Yet Webafrica Continues Debiting Me Months Later
My dispute with Webafrica began in February 2026.
After numerous calls, emails, WhatsApps, follow-ups, escalations, promises, and assurances, Webafrica eventually confirmed that my account had been cancelled.
That should have been the end of the matter.
Instead, months later, I am still waiting for my refund, and to make matters worse, Webafrica has once again debited my account for services that were supposedly cancelled and are not being rendered.
What I find particularly frustrating is the endless cycle customers are subjected to. Every time I raise the issue, a new agent appears, reviews the complaint from the beginning, apologises, promises that finance is processing the refund, and assures me that resolution is imminent.
The result?
No refund.
No accountability.
No resolution.
Only more promises.
I have lost count of how many times I have been told that my refund is "being processed" and that I should allow a few more working days. Those working days have now turned into months.
At this stage, this is no longer simply a customer service issue. It is a matter of a company retaining funds that should have been refunded while continuing to debit a customer after confirming cancellation.
I am formally requesting:
• Immediate reimbur*****t of all outstanding amounts owed to me.
• Immediate reversal of any unauthorised debits processed after cancellation.
• Written confirmation that no further debits will be processed against my account.
Should this matter remain unresolved, I will have no option but to escalate it to the relevant consumer protection authorities and consumer media platforms for investigation.
Webafrica has had more than enough time to correct this situation. What has been missing is not time, but action.
Potential customers should carefully consider whether they are willing to take the risk of spending months chasing refunds and trying to stop debits on an account that has already been cancelled.
It’s clear how frustrating and exhausting this has been, especially after multiple follow‑ups and being assured that your account was cancelled, only to continue experiencing debits and delays with your refund. This is not the standard of service we aim to provide, and your concern is completely valid. After reviewing your account, we can confirm that a credit was app**** and the refund was processed on 17 March. Once processed, refunds typically reflect in a client’s bank account within 5–7 working days, depending on banking timelines.
Regarding the recent debit order attempt, this was triggered by a router clawback fee and early termination fee:
The router clawback fee applies when the router issued on a free‑to‑use basis is not returned after cancellation.
The early termination fee is app**** when a service is cancelled before the minimum term is completed.
If the router has already been returned, please let us know so this can be escalated for review and adjustment on your account.
You can find more information about the router return process here:

If you would like us to review your case further, please send us a direct message on Hello Peter, and we’ll ensure the matter is followed through to resolution.
Warm regards,
Webafrica Crew

I will be reporting this to Consumer Journalist Wendy Knowler and will be taking legal action.
Unauthorized debits from my bank account is *******.
And the same generic response since Feb 2026.
