Breaking News: WebAfrica Customer Attempts Escape
Dear the clowns at Webafrica...
Wake up.
After supporting you guys for two years — through all your DNS drama and at least one downtime episode a month — it took me an entire month just to get a successful cancellation processed.
Today, just to make sure, I followed up via your amazing bot, Willie, to confirm that my service had actually been cancelled.
In typical Webafrica fashion, my request was never actioned, and my service was not cancelled as requested on 30/03/2026.
Thankfully, I preempted this and took screenshots of the WhatsApp chat as proof — because apparently WhatsApp is the ONLY way to cancel a service with Webafrica. Ridiculous. Trust me, I tried every other avenue first.
Of course, I still need to pay a R999 cancellation fee, and I, the customer, must once AGAIN reach out to request that the router be collected.
To the public: before signing up with this obviously NOT customer-first company, take a quick glance through their social media posts. Read the comments. That’s the real experience of being signed up here.
Good luck cancelling your service.
Cheers, Webafrica — wake up, management.
Oh wait… I’m not free yet.
I still need to request a router collection.
Wish me luck.
We understand how frustrating and disappointing this has been, especially after supporting Webafrica for an extended period and then experiencing repeated challenges with the cancellation process, communication, and follow‑through. Your concerns around the difficulty in getting the cancellation actioned, the reliance on WhatsApp, and the additional steps required afterward are clearly noted, and we recognise how exhausting this has been for you.
Your feedback has been shared with our Service Quality Team for review and improvement, as experiences like this highlight areas where processes and communication need to be strengthened. We appreciate you raising this publicly, as it allows us to take a closer look at how cancellations and post‑cancellation steps are handled.
For guidance on returning the router, please refer to the following link, which outlines the process and next steps clearly:

If you require any further, please feel free to send us a direct message here on Hello Peter and we’ll gladly assist.
Warm regards,
Webafrica Crew
