Billed for service that has never been used

Back in february, I app**** for a fibre line following an ad. As per the ad, the first 2 months would be free from the time the fibre line is activated. After 3 months, Telkom did the fibre installation at my place (not activated so far). However, when I checked my webAfrica account, it appears that they counted Mar and Apr as free months and started charging me for May despite not having a fibre line or a router.

I was under the impression that I would be charged from the moment the fibre line was active. In any case, I logged a support request with webAfrica stating that I wanted to cancel my account and that I would not be paying for a service I have never used, but so far no response. I even sent a number of emails and nobody even bothered to respond. Just yesterday, I received another reminder with regards to the invoice.

The service from webAfrica is pathetic and you are being ****** in plain daylight. I would rather remain with MWEB, my current ISP. Even though they do not have the best of service, they do respond timeously.

Hi Rafeeqah,

I have already logged 2 tickets to the support desk for which I have not received any response. Why would be above be quicker. Does that mean that everyone needs to escalate to get a response.

In any case, I will send an email to the above email address and cross fingers.
