BAD UPGRADE SERVICE - WEBAFRICA and FROGFOOT
I asked WebAfrica for my plan to be upgraded to the 1000Mbps from 3 April 2026. They informed me that the service was changed and successful - BUT I did not received the UPGRADE of 1000mbps. I did complain about it to FrogFoot and WebAfrica and nothing was done. I complained again and still nothing done. ONLY THE INVOICE was changed to reflect the UPGRADE in Costs. How do they confirm the upgrade was done if they did not even check the speed or line from their side - SO WHAT WAS UPGRADED EXCEPT THE INVOICE?? HOW CAN THEY CONFIRMED IT WAS SUCCESSFULLY UPGRADED IF it was NOT DONE. And I sent them the speed tests that is 80 to 90 % less than what was asked for???

29 Apr 2026, 16:18Hi Stephan,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We understand how frustrating and concerning it is to request an upgrade to a 1000 Mbps service, be assured that it was completed, yet continue receiving significantly lower speeds while the billing reflects the higher package. We can appreciate why this has left you feeling confused and dissatisfied, especially after providing speed test results and following up multiple times without resolution.
We’ve checked the account and can confirm that the 1000 Mbps profile is correctly app**** on your account and on the line on Frogfoot’s end. At this stage, further troubleshooting is required to determine why the expected speeds are not being achieved. To help us establish the way forward, please send us a direct message on Hello Peter confirming the make and model of your router, and share speed test results taken from a computer connected via WiFi compared to tests done when connected directly to the router using an Ethernet cable. This will allow us to identify whether the limitation is related to the device, setup, or another technical factor.
Warm regards,
Webafrica Crew

29 Apr 2026, 16:48WebAfrica use the ZYXEL router supp**** by WebAfrica. Frogfoot use their Router. The 3 Screen shot is from WebAfricas Speed Test. Reading. Pings 11ms Download 37.90Mbps Upload 42.78 Mbps.
All I hear is excuses like the previous time..... Remember the line is busy, remember this and that.... You do not PROVIDE the service .... I don't go to the supermarket and buy 1 Lt of milk and then they give me 250ml at the till. And then WebAfrica and Frogfoot expects you to be happy with the 250ml of milk.... because the shop was busy. If you supply only 37.90Mbps then that is what should be on your INVOICE . You have been giving me the run around now from the beginning April 2026. IF YOU CAN NOT PROVIDE 1000Mbps UP AND DOWN for R1499 per month - be honest don't cheat you customers with all sorts of excuses like the line is busy, its your router - its on your side ext ext... If YOU OFFER THE PACKAGE, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO SUPPLY IT.. I sent you and Frogfoot plenty of Speed Tests over the last month that PROOF you WAY WAY WAY - UNDER SUPPLY !!! Stephan

29 Apr 2026, 17:15Hi Stephan,
Thank you for your detailed response and for clearly explaining your concerns. We understand how frustrating this situation has been, especially after requesting a 1000 Mbps upgrade, seeing the billing change, and still experiencing speeds that are far below what was expected. Your comparison highlights exactly why this feels unacceptable, and we recognise the impact this ongoing issue has had on your trust and patience.
To help us move this forward in a more concrete way, we’d like to clarify a few technical details so we can determine the correct next steps. Could you please confirm which device was used when performing the speed tests, for example whether the tests were done on a cellphone or a computer? In addition, it would be helpful to know the results when testing on a computer over WiFi compared to a test done when connecting the same computer directly to the router using an Ethernet cable. This information will allow us to better isolate whether the limitation is related to the device, the connection method, or something else on the line, and guide us on the most appropriate resolution.
Warm regards,
