BAD SERVICE FROM VUMATEL (WEBAFRICA)

I'd like to advise everyone against Vumatel (Webafrica) for their poor service.

To do any changes to your account, a one months notice must be given.

I dealt with two members in particular, they are Nozibele X and Muneeb F. On the 1st of May I contacted Webafrica and could not get through.

On the 2nd of May I eventually got to speak to Nozibele who advised that I would need to give a one months notice and to try again at month end. I tried on 30th of May and could not get through to anyone again.

Today, on the 31st of May I eventually got through to Muneeb who in turn told me that even if I had wanted to downgrade my plan it would have only been done from the 1st of July. I told him that it would have been done from the 1st of June and he was adamant thatbit was the 1st of July. I then asked to be put through to a manager and he advised that a call back from management has a 48 hour turnaround time. In the meantime googled to see if I could downgrade on the website which I did. Nozibele did not even advise me on that process either.

So I just want to warn anyone who wants to connect with Webafrica to do their "homework" before using their services.

Kind Regards

Well my wifi is still not connected and no one senior has even bothered to contact me since Sunday, 31 May 2026. I went online on Saturday, 6 June from 7h30 am and waited all day until they closed. I then went online on Sunday 7 June 2026 since 8am ans waited the whole day until they closed. I even tried calling the office and despite the fact that the voice message system says the sales is open on Sundays and public holidays from 9am to 3 pm i still had no luck. So I only have this to say.

HI , I HAVE MAJOR INTERNET ISSUES THAT I AM EXPERIENCING WITH WEBAFRICA, THE ROUTER IS NOT CONNECTING. ON OUR PHONES, IT SHOWS "CONNECTED WITHOUT INTERNET"

I'M REALLY ANNOYED AS I WAS A HAPPY CUSTOMER ONCE UPON A TIME BUT SINCE SUNDAY I HAVE BEEN FIGHTING WEBAFRICA. ON MONDAY I PAID FOR THE SERVICE AND ON WEDNESDAY I EVENTUALLY GOT CONNECTED BUT THE CONNECTION WAS NOT PROPERLY CONNECTED AS IT KEPT KICKING US OUT. I SPENT R200 ON AIRTIME SINCE SUNDAY AND I'M STILL EXPERIENCING ISSUES. I JUST DON'T KNOW WHY YOU GUYS CANNOT GET THIS RIGHT ONCE AND FOR ALL. I'M ALSO WAITING FOR A SUPERVISOR TO CONTACT ME SINCE SUNDAY AND NO ONE HAS BOTHERED TO CALL ME. HOW YOU GUYS KEEP CUSTOMERS I REALLY DON'T KNOW BUT I EXPECT THIS ISSUE TO BE SORTED OUT TODAY. AT MONTH END YOU'LL WANT YOUR FUNDS IN FULL SO I EXPECT TO BENEFIT FROM THIS IN FULL.
SO MY OPTION I'M PUTTING FORWARD TO YOU TODAY IS TO EITHER SORT OUT MY INTERNET TODAY OR I'LL CANCEL MY SER ICE WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT AND YOU WILL REFUND THE FULL R429 TO ME WITHOUT ANY COMPLAINTS

I am available from 6am until 8h15 am, 12 to 12h30 pm and again after 5pm (Monday to Friday) and Saturdays from 6am until 8h45am and then again after 1pm. Then I am available all day on Sundays

Hi Yvette ,
We understand how frustrating it must be to spend so much time trying to reach support while your connection is down. When your internet is not working and you cannot get assistance quickly, it can feel very disruptive and discouraging.
This situation has not met the level of responsiveness and support you should expect when trying to resolve a service issue.
We can confirm that a request has been logged for a technical agent to reach out to you directly and assist with restoring your connectivity. The focus is on getting your service back up and running as soon as possible.
We will continue to push this internally to ensure you receive the assistance you need and that your connectivity is resolved without further delay.
Warm regards,
Webafrica Crew
