AWFUL FIBRE PROVIDER, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!

Awful, awful, just awful. They say it will take up to 5 working days for activation of your fibre line - don't hold your breath! If you follow up with them their agents give you the same story - they are not responsible for the activation but they will escalate it to the Fibre Network Operator (FNO) blah, blah, blah. My activation has been escalated about 4 different times and I'm still without internet. Honestly, don't waste your time, go with a more mainstream service provider that can actually provide the service they charge you for. I previously posted a positive review, as their customer service had been consistent, but they are too quick to pass the buck onto the FNO instead of actually assisting you. I will be cancelling my subscription ASAP.

Hi  Jenna.
We completely understand your frustration, especially after multiple follow-ups and still being without an active connection. That’s a really disappointing experience, and we hear your concern around delays and feeling like you’re not getting clear progress.
We can see that our LinkLayer activation support team connected with you earlier today and provided an update on your order (***). As part of that, a premise creation request was escalated to our LinkLayer partners.
To explain this simply, a premise creation request means your address still needs to be formally created and registered on the fibre network provider’s system before activation can take place. Until your premises exist on their network records, they’re unable to proceed with provisioning your line. This step sits with the network provider, but we actively follow up and push for it to be completed as quickly as possible.
Right now, the focus is on:
  •  Getting your premises created and approved on the network
  •  Fast-tracking activation immediately once that step is complete
  •  Keeping pressure on the network partner for feedback and progress
We understand how the repeated escalations can feel, and your feedback around communication and ownership has been noted. We’re committed to seeing this through and getting you connected as soon as possible.

Warm regards,
Webafrica Crew

Hi Jenna,
We hear your concern, especially after the delays and the feeling of uncer*****y around whether your address is properly recognised on the network. It’s completely understandable to question how the order was placed if activation is now being held up at network level.
To clarify, your address does exist within the service area and the order was successfully captured through the available coverage mapping at the time of sign-up. What we’re currently experiencing is a network-side provisioning delay, where the Fibre Network Operator still needs to complete the final backend “premise creation” step before activation can proceed. This is a technical registration process on their system and does not mean your address is outside coverage or that your order was incorrectly placed.
We understand how frustrating this is, especially after multiple escalations without clear progress, and your feedback around communication has been noted. The escalation remains active, and we are continuing to follow up with the network partner for urgency and feedback.
Warm regards,
 Webafrica Crew

Hi Webafrica Crew
Its been two days and I am still without WiFi. I have also been informed by your support team that it shouldn't take this long for the FNO to activate my fibre line and because we have passed the time frame your support team is unable to give me an ETA. So, I essentially have to wait indefinitely for a service that I am going to be billed for at the end of the month when I haven't even used it!! This is the worst service I've ever received from a fibre provider. I'm officially cancelling my subscription.

 Hi Jenna,
We hear your frustration, especially being without WiFi for two days, not having a clear activation timeframe, and understandably feeling concerned about being billed for a service you’re unable to use yet. That uncer*****y is not the experience we want for you.
This is still in progress with the Fibre Network Operator, and the activation is currently pending on their side. We’ve followed up to request an updated status and to get clarity on the delay, as the initial timeframe has now been exceeded.
We understand your decision to consider cancellation given the impact this is having, and we’re also awaiting further feedback so we can provide you with a clear and accurate update as soon as possible.
Warm regards,
 Webafrica Crew

I've been without WiFi for longer than two days - I've been without WiFi since I moved into my new place almost two weeks ago!
Its been two days since your apparent 'escalation' regarding the premises creation request and my line remains inactive. I need this dealt with like yesterday, this isn't funny anymore, I paid for a service so I should receive it, unless the entirety of Webafrica is a **** - which is seeming likely at this stage!

Hi Jenna,
Thank you for coming back to us and for correcting the timeline. Being without WiFi for almost two weeks after moving into your new home, especially after being told the matter was escalated, is understandably beyond frustrating. Paying for a service and still not being able to use it after this length of time would leave anyone feeling fed up, and this is not the experience we want for you.
The matter is still in progress with the Fibre Network Operator, and the delay around the premises creation request remains the blocker.  Urgency has been requested as part of the follow up for a clear status update and escalation on their side, as the original timeframe has now been exceeded. As soon as we receive concrete feedback, it will be shared with you so you’re not left in the dark.

We value the opportunity to get this resolved properly and will remain engaged until there is a clear outcome.

Warm regards,
Webafrica Crew
