At this point, I'm not even mad, I'm just sad, please help me

Dear (hopefully Webafrica representative) / reader

I'm not even sure that anyone is going to read this message, but I am in desperate need of help and I just want to speak with another human being. Please listen to me.

I have been trying to get through on Whatsapp but I am completely sincere when I tell you that I don't have any more capacity for talking to robots. I reached out for the first time at 11:20 this morning and was held "on a lyntjie" until 14:49. The chat line closes at 13:00. I could cry from the frustration and stress I'm experiencing. I've had two migraines.

I should keep it short at the off chance that someone does read this, and I'm shooting myself in the foot by talking too much. Let me get to the point:

This morning, 31 December 2022, the first notification I see on my phone after waking up: Web Africa Networks deducted R1999.00 from my account. It's a shock to me. I wasn't warned. I cancelled my account in November. I investigate. "Premium LTE Router - Clawback"

Oh! Well, you might think, she never returned her router. No, my reader, I did return the router. I returned the router in November, it was received by Venessa ***) at Nology, Unit 2, Garnet Park, 6 Drill Ave, Montague Gardens, Cape Town, 7441 on 30 November. I have a proof of delivery email from The Courier Guy.

From my side: I carried out exactly what you asked after my service was cancelled, which is to return the router to the address stated above. After the money was deducted this morning, I visited my bank to find out if I could reverse the debit order. No, the bank said, because technically it's not a debit order but an "online transaction". No reversing those.

Now it's the afternoon of 31 December and tomorrow I'll have the joy of seeing my actual debit orders, which I sincerely struggled enough as it is to make provision for, return unpaid. While I wait until the next working day to be held on a lyntjie by Webafrica on the Whatsapp line.

So please, help me, my fellow human being. I'm sure you can understand how difficult it is to live in a robot world where nobody cares.

I sincerely hope this finds someone
