An Absolute Disgrace.
Quite unfortunate that I can't leave a review below one star.
I would like to state right from the beginning that the majority of flaws and faults that I have stems from their questionable business practices but that their support staff is not without blame. I started a conversation across WhatsApp requesting for my service to be canceled on the 30th of November for the 31st of December I was informed that I had to request the cancelation through their web portal. When doing as they instructed. I was unable to find the cancelation option. After they checked again they informed me that the option was unavailable to me and that I had to request the cancelation through a service agent. This back and forth had taken up the majority of the afternoon so when I requested the cancelation the agent told me that their shift was about to end and that she would transfer me through to another agent. I wasn't connected until the next morning at around 7 am. Once again we went through this story until finally, the agent told us that the cancelation will proceed. But that I will have to pay the amount of R2750 to cover the installation costs that they covered for me 6 months ago. (This is of course an absolutely disgusting amount of overcharge for something that took their network engineers a maximum of 30 minutes to do). I agreed to this and the other caveat of returning the heinously overpriced router at cost to me (according to them it was worth R999, while on Takealot the same model is listed for 650). This already is frustrating but it is far from the worst I have seen and I agreed.
I agreed with the cancelation and the agent sent an email confirming my cancelation on the "30th of January".
Once again I contacted the agent (a completely different agent so I had to explain everything again). They told me that because the cancelation went through on the 1st there was, unfortunately, nothing that they could do and that I should have started the process sooner or opt to move the line to my new residence instead of cancelation as;

This entire story is awful and more than displays how horrible the situation is. But this is not the end.
Two days later I noticed a significant drop in my connection quality. Specifically referring to Jitter/packet loss. Any game that I would play after coming home from work would be awful with packet loss ranging from 2% to 26%, I reported that after a long and lengthy conversation was asked to perform the tests at three different times during the day and that they couldn't perform these same tests.
I did as requested and explained, AGAIN, to the next agent because they are apparently unable to get previous conversations logs.
Here is the point where I found the most issues with their service personnel. The one specific agent would say ▓▓▓▓: Thank you for the information, kindly hold a moment while I check your account. And then disappear for an hour. The chatbot would close the chat and I would request that it reopen. I would connect to the same agent. Explain the situation again. and the same would happen.
I have now given up, quite frankly the experience rates as one of the worst that I have experienced. My connection is literally better when tethering my phone in a full-on rainstorm.
I cannot stress enough how much of a mistake I believe signing up with Webafrica was.
