Again and again and again
Webafrica, this is now my third complaint. Just a few days ago I posted on hellopeter about how you've messed up every single transaction from transferring my line to downgrading my adsl, to chaning to direct debit. I've called you hundreds of times. Really I thought it couldn't happen again, but alas. My previous post a week or so ago on hellopeter I explained that you didn't correctly downgrade me to a 60+140 package. Long story short, a guy called me and downgraded the line straight away. I was happy until I checked the direct debit for September a few days ago and , there it was: R449 =R250 for the 4 meg adsl and R199 for the data. In other words, you charged me the price of a 60+240 package yet I have a 40+160 package. Even worse, on your customer portal this R449 bill status says unpaid, and the correct price of R399 appears somewhere else on the site. Complete shambles. But then again, I've come to expect this from you. By now I would love to move everything away from you but do not want to sit without internet for 30 days. I'm just so tired and cannot deal with this bad service anymore. This is singlehandely the worst service I have experienced, even worse than my ex bank
This issue has been resolved by the senior from our ADSL team because your package was downgraded from the Home ADSL: 60GB + 240GB for R199 to the Home ADSL: 40GB + 160GB for R149 - as promised.
When the senior called you on the 26th of August, he added a credit note for R50 which was the cost difference between the 2 packages - however - the credit note was approved by our Invoicing team on the 28th of August because it takes up to 72 hours for credit notes to be approved. Having said that, debit order customers' details are cued up on the 26th of every month with our bank - even - though the debit order run is on the first business day of every month. To clarify further, by the 26th of August your debit order was cued up for the full amount without the R50 credit at the time of deduction, hence you were charged the old price, but the R50 credit was approved on the 28 August and it's currently reflecting on your account.
We're sorry that this was not explained to you in details. If you have further queries regarding this issue, please use our support channels: telephonic, email, twitter or facebook.
