Abysmal Fibre Service
I've become incredibly frustrated with Webafrica's process for migrating our fibre line. The process began over a month ago when I contacted their fibre department asking if it were possible to migrate a fibre line to a new address, keep the package and have a new installation. I was reassured by the department that this was completely possible and that I should not cancel my line but submit a ticket to Webafrica requesting them to do so. I submitted a number of tickets over the course of a few weeks to absolutely no response. I called back and was informed that migrations are impossible and that I had to start the process again and apply for a new line and cancel the other but that the previous would be cancelled immediately as it was a migration not a true cancellation. I thus app**** 3 weeks ago for a new line and when I tried to cancel the previous I was again informed that I could not simply have the previous cancelled but that I would have to pay until either the new line was active or gave a months notice to cancel the line normally. In addition to this it has been 3 weeks of waiting for even the slightest update on the fibre but the web portal is still locked stating that they're in stage one of just ordering the fibre and upon calling I was fobbed off with a story that it's actually a manual process and that I should actually be expecting a call from the installers. No call has been received and the progress is similarly updated. Ultimately the staff at the fibre department are either willfully ******** or intent on deceiving customers with promises that never bear fruition. I loved my Webafrica service and found the initial process of obtaining fibre was a breeze. This has been an expensive nightmare that has ruined my impression of them.
