Abuse of debit account details, subsequent theft, and a complete lack of customer support

Incompetence, rudeness, and open theft

What I used to consider the best ISP out there is now unequivocally the worst based entirely on their inaccessibility, incompetence, and dishonesty.

Their customer service is now officially non-existent. Their "live" WhatsApp line is a lie and a joke. Most requests for assistance through their online portal or via email go unanswered. Their call centre either simply doesn't answer or hangs up on you. And when you're lucky enough to get through, it can sometimes take weeks to months for anything to get done, if it doesn't get ignored completely.

Their Modus Operandi appears to be to ignore problems and hope you'll go away.

The literal only way to get them to do anything is to complain online. So if you're thinking of signing up with WebAfrica, you'd better sign up for Twitter as well if you want anything to get done, ever.

If this was only about connectivity issues, it would be bad enough, but it get far worse. Because I have recently discovered that they're ok with using your monthly debit details to charge money from your linked account without consent - something my bank has confirmed is *******, in case you were wondering. And not for trivial amounts, either; the last charge to my account was for R999.00, a charge in no way linked to my fibre service fee, which, it bears mentioning, also seems to have shot up over R100 each month, and I've only been signed up for fibre for a few months.

So in summation; they will abuse your account details by automatically debiting you for products you didn't order and the only way they'll talk to you is if you make too much noise on Twitter.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT SIGN UP WITH WEBAFRICA.

Their line speeds are no different than anyone else's. They are the most expensive. Their customer service, once their crowning jewel, no does not exist. There's a good chance they might begin charging product to your account without you consent or even knowledge.
