Absolutely No Idea of Customer Service

We ordered a Fibre Line with WebAfrica in October last year. Nothing happened until April this year on the process. No contact from them, No follow up and information about the progress etc... of the application and when the line might be installed.

Suddenly in April, I got a call from OpenServe (NOT WebAfrica) to schedule line installation. All done relatively swiftly.

Since then - heard nothing about how to activate, receive wi-fi modem that came with the order / sign up offer.

I had to phone them to organise the modem. Told to collect as it would take a week to get it delivered from Woodstock to Kenilworth in Cape Town (go figure).

Since then - got billed after being told the first 2 months was on the house as part of the signup offer. I hadto phone to get the billing fixed, which they duly did.

Then we noticed very erratic and, at ties, very slow Fibre based connection. We ordered and will soon be charged for a 100Mbps Fibre line that very rarely gets above 40 Mbps. In fact, often the upload speed is faster than the download speed.

I logged a call a week after installation to get attention focused on the speed and consistency of the line and repair. NO reply, No contact for at least a week.

Then I chased them, there seemed to be some information requirements, did all of that and rep**** relatively quickly. NOTHING.

I followed up - combination of phone and e-mail. NO response.

Still not resolved. One of their agents even suggested that "perhaps we should log a fault with Telkom" and then did NOTHING about it. Eventually I followed up AGAIN and they logged the call. I have no idea of the urgency, focus, level, escalation - NOTHING.

Guys, seriously. If you want to run a professional ISP outfit, you really need to start understanding your customers and what they need.

You have no idea what customer service is and actually have created the impression that you don;t actually give a **** either.

I'm out.

Reviewer Update

Typical. An automated e-mail response that shows no regard for the actual detail of the complaint OR even attempts to apologise for the fact that we have ended up so frustrated that we have to write a review on hellopeter.com. What IS the point?
