Worst fibre network by far, Vumatel
Vumatel is similar to Eskom lately.... internet shedding on weekends is now a reality. We are off since yesterday and the problem was ligged through Vox twice from my side. Other klients un the area did the same through thair various ISP's, no luck This means no business, no access to security systems while off-line etc. I think it is time for a class action against Vuma and their useless service lately. Our service was great before they took over, now, it is just another scheme to make money and deliver very little service. Fiber is not the option with Vumatel running the infrastructure, they have become, comfotably numb....

13 Jun 2021, 09:59Dear Vuma Team,
Here is your advice on your website:
"If you have a query about fibre and would like to reach out and connect with someone to discuss it further, we highly recommend that you get in touch with your Internet Service Provider as they can offer fast and efficient support on your particular fibre line. We are here to support them and you, at all stages, because together we’re connected. "
Now please tell me how do I get in touch with you if there is no email address to do so?
I did contact my ISP to inform them of the outage, there is nothing else I can do. Also your statement on your website regarding "How does Vuma bennefit me?" is misleading. You are not on 24/7 and in the industry no-one can expect that but 99.8% is the norm. My house is connected with smart technology, but when there is no internet access for 12 hours and more, then all the smart technology in the world would not help.
Being connected is important to me, but unfortunately I cannot depend on you anymore. This means I have to add a second service provider as a backup to compensate for your downtime. Please check your error/outage reports for the Auckland Park, Melville, Richmond areas, and you will see how many times you are off-line.
It is easy to hide behind the ISP's but provide us with a direct line/email address to report this directly to you (or even a form on your website) and you will have all the information needed to investigate.
Bad service is just that, bad service, and lip service is also just that. The proof is in the solution you implement to prevent outages, or restore service when an outage does happen.
Thank you kindly for responding but just remember, I am the end user, not the ISP, so my reference will be with my ISP not Vuma.....
Kind regards
Steve
