Who would believe that trying to become a customer could be so difficult

When Vumatel/Fibrehoods setup their aerial network in our area (Morningside Sandton) their network coverage map included our house but the online/sales coverage map for some reason excluded us. For well over 2 months, more than 4 calls to their call centre, countless emails to vumatel (sales, installations and technical), fibrehoods and britelink I've been (for the most part) completely ignored. In my eyes quite a simple thing to fix - update the map - has turned into a HUGE pain. Normally companies bend over backwards to try and get a new customer, but not in this case. Perhaps they don't want more customers? It's really put me off their offering, if it's this difficult to become a customer just imagine the kind of difficulty post-sale. If there was any other alternative I would have, without doubt, been more than willing to write them off and tell my friends/colleagues to do the same.
