Vumatel - South Afirca's Eskom of Fibre Infrastructure

I have had no internet for moving into 8 weeks now. Not because of my ISP Vox, but because Vumatels infrastructure is apparently as bad as Eskoms.

They have been "working" on the issue for almost 2 months with nothing actually being resolved. I stay in a large complex in Greenstone Edenvale with around 900 units. There have been nonstop complaints from the residents about no connection for days/weeks.

ISPs called and checked with and all the separate ISP point back to Vumatells failed infrastructure. I once did get some decent feedback from Vumatel and a technician came out and replaced an older Fibre box. That did not fix anything.

Raised the issue again with vumatel and I got given generic platitudes and answers like: we found a fault and it was line theft in Alexandra, we are working on the issue, there is scheduled maintenance from the 11th to the 15th if December. Ask them if they intend to cover the cost of the near 2 months of no internet access you are paying for and see how quiet they become
