Vumatel - Over Promise, Under Deliver

For the last year we have experienced numerous Internet outages. For the last few months its gotten much worse. This past weekend and the preceeding one we struggled with intermittent breaks in connectivity. I've always contacted our ISP (Home Connect) and did so again this last weekend. I checked and they weren't aware of any Vumatel work going on in the area and pointed me in several directions none of which ppinted at them or Vumatel - of course! However I checked with 2 neighbours, one of which is with Rocketnet, they had a notification that Vumatel was working in the area. This fault has gotten worse since Vumatel performed a free upgrade whereby users are given double the speed for the same price. I cant help feeling that the Vumatel infrastructure cannot cope with the additional bandwidth - I'm pleading to just be given the 20MBPS I pay for and not some pie in the sky bandwidth Vumatel can't deliver.
