VUMATEL NIGHTMARE OF TWO ISP FIGHTING FOR ONE CONNECTION POINT for two different properties
Our intended new ISP - Afrihost is trying to connect us, after Vodacom the previous ISP released the connection. We have only ever had a Vodacom service since fibre was installed in our suburb. So Vodacom has only ever been the only ISP to provide our connectivity....
While trying to connect us Afrihost cannot as MWEB is shown to be the connected ISP on our network point... How MWEB is the ISP is a complete mystery.....
Afrihost logged a Circuit Release Request to Vumatel (***0 - 3rd July 2025) to release the connection - which was actioned by Vumatel,.... only to have MWEB apply for a reactivation..... so we are stuck in a ping-pong nightmare where each of these ISPs is fighting for the same network point for two completely different customers at completely different physical properties.
How does Vumatel end this deadlock where two properties have the same network/circuit point.... and where two different ISPs are fighting over this one single network point?!!?!?!?
This is a Vumatel network/infrasturcture information error that neither ISP can resolve without Vumatel creating a new network/circuit point for either us with Afrihost,.... or the other customer via MWEB>>>>>>
HOW do we get this resolved????? We have been trying to get a fibre connection for this entire month so far?!?!?!?!?!
I have been without a fibre connection for 12 days!!!

We are in a standoff..... Another ISP is holding the connection point (NOT VODACOM).... and Vumatel seem to be uncapable of resolving the issue. I cannot speak to a human,... and I cannot get Vumatel to come out to the property to resolve the issue!?!?!?!?!!?

Vuma refusing to accept the POA - because the municipal address on the bill, doesn't match the physical world where I live on a corner, and the existing fibre connection is around the corner at our other driveway.... The image on their website when you type in the non-municipal address is exactly our house....
How can I get Vumatel to understand the real world reality,... or send a technician out to resolve it?
And all this while being unable to talk to a human being.... just emails and messaging via the ISP cos the Vumatel customer support is useless....
15 days without FIBRE connectivitiy!!!

Seems insane that Vumatel cannot figure out how they supp**** fibre to our property for five years... and but now have a third-ISP somehow holding the circuit/connection. Send a human to my property to resolve it!

Still cannot get Vumatel to resolve the issue. Afrihost logs a Circuit Release.... MWEB re-activates the line...... BUT MWEB was NEVER our ISP - Vodacom was......
Send a technician out to my address to resolve the issue.... to find the serial number of the ONT (Thingie-of-the-wall).... or the grey box attached to my boundary wall - where it has been for FIVE YEARS!!!!!
