Vumatel needs to move into the 21st centurary.

I cannot believe how backward this company is. I am wanting to change my ISP from Vodacom to Afrihost. After weeks of begging Vodacom to release my line, I finally managed to get them to actually do the very little work involved and I was told that my line was released and that I could not go to another ISP. After contacting Afrihost I was told that my line was not released. After several arguments, I managed to get somebody to confirm with Vumatel that the line is in fact released. However, when Afrihost try to activate the line Vumatel tell them that the line is still held by another ISP. Another really frustrating argument and I am told that my issue (that they cannot give me a reference number for) has been escalated to the highest level and has been put onto an Excel spreadsheet for the developers to look into !?!?!?! WHAT? how backwards can you be. Vumatel have instructed Afrihost that any of this kind of issue has to be put onto a spreadsheet?!? How archaic? Surely there is an SLA between the ISP and the supplier? How come there is no-one at Vumatel in authority that is addressing these kinds of issues... and who is controlling this spreadsheet? I cannot believe that any modern company is still operating like Vumatel is at the moment ... Vumatel you are contributing to SA being a 3rd world country! If you need assistance I have offered my services on several occasions. My company has on many occasions automated integration between corporate systems in order to remove the reliance on things like spreadsheets ... Come on! Do Better!
