Vumatel - Modern tech.......Low Quality Wooden Tar Poles being installed in Sandown Ext 24, Sandton - How Cheap!

<p>Vumatel is installing fibre in Sandown Ext 24, Sandton. On their website homepage they show all cables underground. In Sandown they are installing the old tar covered wooden poles - the ones that Telkom use. They are putting these in front of houses and I am assuming they are going to have cables running from pole to pole. How ridiculous is that! Why don't they bury them underground?</p> <p> </p> <p>Looks ugly and a bit backward Vumatel - Please explain?</p>
