Vumatel is worse Telkom, could it be?
I registered for fibre over 6 months ago through Openserve, I later learnt that Fibrehoods/Vumatel was busy with fibre installation in my complex. After a little confusion I managed to register through Fibrehoods/Vumatel, little did I know of the journey of frustration that awaited me.
The Vumatel technicians installed the CPE on Friday, 22 September, and I have received all details from my ISP. Everything is setup correctly but I still do not have internet.
I was told that Vumatel needs Britelinks(for some reason) to activate /splice my line, which would take 2 working days. This is the second week I still have no internet, nor have I received any updates.
I've faulted Telkom in the past for their bad service, but Vumatel has to take the cake for amazingly terrible service.
3 years, and 3 apartments later I receive a bill for the activation fee from 2017. This was initially included in the deal I signed with my ISP. Not sure who is at fault here, don't really care. Paid the amount, just glad that I no longer have to deal with Vulatel.
