Vumatel installation done with underhand tactics
residing in mount moriah And I want to complain about your installation process and the fact that the door to door sales people came over saying that they are from fibre time and that as residents we can pay R5 for fibre and all they needed to do was install 1 pole in the yard and then made people sigh documents they didn't even get a chance to read and most of those people are vulnerable one of them being my mum they bluffed her only one pole needed to be installed and then installed another one on unstable soil we have asked many times for it to be removed but we were told they will do it but never did instead continued with the installation
One of the employees installing the pole said they never told the residents the full truth of the installations as if they did no one would agree to install it and then add the audacity to say the yard was a partway when it's not Many people in the area were ****med by vumatel regarding these installations
And many of the people whom came to install these cables don't even. Care that how they are installing these cables are not safe for the residents in the area and chose to lie Which is *****
I want vumatel to investigate this as I plan to the company to the ombudsman for *****ulent taking advantage of people who don't understand much about the fibre
I'm so disappointed in vumatel
Most of the community has decided not to use vumatel as a fibre network but will instead be using plug and play services from providers like MTN or Vodacom as they would rather pay extra then having to deal with a company of ***** dealings and underhanded tactics
I have seen reviews of vumatel doing this before and I'm absolutely disgusted that this is still continuing
Most residents didn't even know that it was vuma that was installing their poles in their yards they thought it was fibre time
Vuma installers tried to install poles where they were not given permission for some premises
And some where they got permission the residents believed it was one pole not 3or 4 and what's worst some of the poles were put in unsafe places where the soil is corroding they came and inspected these poles admitted to this and agreed to remove it but didn't and continued with the installation
Potentially causing future damages to the premises should that pole fall
They then confirmed if the pole falls to call vuma for the damages they later refused to remove it even threatening those who spoke out to them with disrespect beyond point

My concern is that with them installing more then one poles it's destroying people's. Chances of future developments of their premises and as I said above they are even installed extra poles in unsafe soil
I want vuma to train their staff to provide residents with the full truth and a better process needs to be put in place where if someone agrees to having the poles installed maybe get a verifier to call and confirm if the residents understand and still wants to go ahead
As most of the residents were old and didn't understand what they agreed too
