VumaTel / fly.cool exploiting poor communities

The Vumatel came to my area Katlehong the past 6 or more months, excited as we were with some hope of change and better connectivity and having internet access for ourselves and kids. MIND YOU WE PAYING AS THE SERVICES ARE NOT FREE. I subscribed and from the onset the agencies sold lies and I struggling with installation, no one to be contacted and online website with my profile and registered queries not being answered to date. Within the first month which I have paid the community protected for the polls and the manner in which this company didn’t consult us the community regarding installing the fibre in there area. Polls are all over and installation capable flies over our property. In my house the installers had to be on my house roof without my consent to connect the house on the other street. I complained online and via their WhatsApp number to date no response or assistance. During the project we had to services for 2 weeks however we paid. No communication was received worse not even a waiver for the following month in our subscription. Debit order went through as normal even though I engage the service provider asking regarding this: we had to purchase data for two weeks while we paid for the fibre which was off and nothing was said to us. Yesterday installers came to fix the line at the house in the other street and I asked them not to run the line over my property and they should perhaps use the neighbors house to have the house connected if they don’t mind but I do. I left for a church meeting when I came back they disconnected my line from yesterday to date I don’t have an active line while I have paid. I see this as a nightmare to me and many in the community, this VumaTel together with FLY.COOL are exploiting us. No customer service or customer engagement BUT it’s MONEY FIRST and service after for them. Any help or regulator that can stop this nightmare for us and this customer rather pack and go in our community. As African we suffer enough and we don’t need such exploitation with the limited resources we have.
