Vumatel / Fibrehoods installation devaluing property

A year ago fiber cables were installed in my road which is part of an enclosed cul de sac to form a complex. It was done when we were not at home, completely degrading the front of our home with the cable running across the front entrance and within the weeks had caused the two v old trees next to it to die. For some reason vuma tel / fiberhoods saw it fit to neatly trench in front of other homes but thought it fine to hang cables in front of our home (coincendtly the only road facing home owned by someone of colour who works during the day). I’m absolutely fed up with their service. We have called multiple times during this year to ask for it to be treched. And when we get sales calls to subscribe to fiber, they conveniently stop promoting the sale when we ask for this. I don’t see how how these decisions are made to devalue people’s homes ... is it a race / class issue or do they simply not care?

I received one call while I was traveling. The person offered to call me the next day and of course I never received a call. My husband and I have tried calling your call centre several times and we are not even provided a reference number. I raise this again because very conveniently there was an issue in my complex with the vuma infrastructure and there were people on site within 12 hours. Various neighbours have confirmed that vuma dared not run cables in front of their homes - instead these were neatly trenched. Please tell me again - what is your criteria for customer service?! Why are some people’s homes not worth the attention you provide others. Absolutely disgusted with Vuma service.
