Vumatel Entry-level Fibre offering.

This review is more about providing feedback than an actual complaint.

When the initial FTTH hype started back in 2013, one of the key selling points over ADSL, was that asymmetrical upload and download speeds would be a thing of the past. This was not to be.

That aside, for a premium, Vumatel does in fact offer symmetrical Fibre connections for all of it's FTTH offerings.

There is one exception to that... The Entry-level 4Mb service. Why is that?

On Vumatel, the 4Mb service has a disappointing 1Mb upload maximum. There's no possibility of a symmetrical 4Mb service.

I realize that while Openserve also lacks a symmetrical 4Mb service, they do at least offer double the upload speed offered by Vumatel over Fibre.

Is there a reason why a symmetrical 4Mb package doesn't exist, or is it just to be able to upsell?

I suppose the same question could be posed as to why a 10Mb Vumatel service doesn't exist, but just thought it pertinent to post this, given the number of sales calls I've been receiving.

I'd really like to be able to move to a Fibre package that meets my needs perfectly, but right now, all I get are annoying sales calls trying to convince that I'll save a ton of money, because my voice line can be moved to VoIP.

I know what I need, and I know what's most cost-effective for me, and unfortunately, right now, with the current package structure, Vumatel isn't it.
