Vumatel Delays

I am not the complaining type, but... my patience has been tested.

I arranged a fibre connection in my new home (a complex) through Afrihost, but that process took days because of the relentless 48 hour undertakings; I understand that the line was "active" as a result of a former tenant and Vuma had to remove this person. That took forever and a day.

After what felt like two weeks, my line was sorted.

Less than 7 days thereafter, my line went down. It took Vuma about 3 days to resolve; during that time, I was forced to drive to work as my job is very internet heavy. It turned out that the issue was the line; it was compromised somehow. To resolve this, my line had to be bypassed somehow and connected directly to the main source (whatever that means).

Less than 7 days after that (approx. 3 days ago), my line went down AGAIN.

It's the same story over and over again. I don't use my fibre for video games, I use it for serious work at the Office of the Chief Justice.

Every day that I have to drive to work, I am burning fuel that I do not have to. Furthermore, what irks me is that I am not aware that I will be given a pro-rata refund for the down time experienced.

This is poor customer service!
