VUMATEL, COOL IDEAS FAIL IN FIBRE CONNECTION

Vumatel has been a huge fail. My Wifi aerial cable broke last Thurs & they wanted me to pat R1700 for its reinstallation. It took almost a week to get that issue resolved and an agreement that I dont need to finance the fixing of their broken infrastructure. Yesterday morning a team of technicians installed a trenched (underground) fibre connection. My Internet Service Provider (Cool Ideas) says they cant get me connected because Vumatel has not changed my link from aerial to trench on their side. I was now told by Vumatel’s call centre to wait for the area manager to contact the service delivery manager to make this switch. No turnaround time can be given. Today is day 8 without Wifi. I have made 27 calls and spent more than 3 hours on the phone with Vumatel & Cool Ideas staff but the issue is yet to be resolved.
