VUMATEL AND PARTNER AFRIHOST OFFER NO SERVICE FOR 3 WEEKS!
I reported a problem with my Fiber line to my ISP Afrihost who are the go between myself and VUMATEL on the 14th June. Vumatel eventually arrived a few days later and their technician Peter informed me the line had been very badly laid and was very fragile - he said it would break completely very soon he further informed. He also informed me I would receive an email from Vumatel advising the charge for the re-laying of the cable and I would have to pay for it before they came out to re-lay it. He also said I could phone him on *** if Vumatel did not contact me? As they didn't I phoned him and he said he'd return but has not. He has also stopped communicating with me re same. I have also been in daily contact with Afrihost who keep on telling me that Vumatel have sent me an email re the charge and once paid will return and re-lay the cable-which was badly laid, according to Peter, in the first place? As I don't have Fiber connection I have to go into my bank daily to check my mails but to date three weeks later, no email has been sent. Afrihost are not helping me, Vumatel are not helping me and Peter, Vumatel's representative is not helping me!? This is the most shocking service I've yet to receive from so called Service Providers in South Africa. The reference first logged on the 14th June is ISP-776930. I have spoken to about 10 Afrihost representatives in the interim and left messages for Manager to call me to no avail? Afrihost informed me of a new reference on the 28th ISP-771926 and also informed me I would be contacted by Vumatel within 3 days? That was 7 days ago! I have been without proper computer connection for three weeks despite another payment going off to Afrihost on 2nd July! Neither of these reports has resulted in any service whatsoever from Vumatel? What the hell are they doing? Afrihost also refuse to provide Vumatel's contact details to me as Vumatel will not allow them to do so? How professional is that?

After waiting from the 14th June for Afrihost my ISP to contact their client Vumatel on my behalf to fix a badly laid Fibre Cable (which I had to repay for) I was only contacted following an appeal via Hellopeter. But that's when my real problems began. Vumatel further sub-contract to Brite Link who in turn sub-contract to EASY FLOW!? And they are the worst of the bunch! (I can only find EASY FLOW GUTTERS when I google) and they seem to be an unlikely choice for laying Fibre Cables which would explain their lack of expertise? They have visited my home more times than I can remember to incorrectly lay the cable, dig up my garden, destroy my plants, muddy my floors and worst of all ***** a garden pick during one of their visits. (Which has subsequently been returned to me!?) They eventually half laid the cable correctly on their 2nd last visit (I have informed them I take no responsibility should the cable fail once more) but left a mass of fibre cable hanging out of the cable box to the extent that its door couldn't shut! And the cover for box left lying on the ground! After many attempts to get them back they came back and fixed their mess! I however have spent weeks and weeks, hours and hours of my valuable time getting them back continually to fix their shoddy workmanship! Having found out the owner's name is Dennis (no surname or cell number provided in line with their unprofessionalism) and his mail address I have mailed him on about three occasion to request compensation for all my trouble! Needless to say I haven't even been done the courtesy of a reply! Maybe this will get his and EASY FLOW's attention!!??
