Vumatel

I started moving into my new apartment on 1 August 2022. I immediately got hold of my isp - Cool Ideas to initiate the process of getting an internet connection. From doing research i noted that my apartment block as well as the surrounding areas are serviced by Vumatel fiber infrastructure.

When i got to the apartment i noticed that the OTT box? i think thats what its called - was missing i.e. the previous tenant removed it for some reason. I sent a picture to Cool ideas who informed me it was missing and that Vumatel would need to come and install a new one. I was told by Vumatel that they were installing something in the area and that i need to wait until 1 September 2022. I could not understand the logic, as the whole building has internet and i have an existing fiber cable in the apartment ie its not a brand new installation. Well, to keep this rant short and sweet - it is now 05 October 2022 and still no internet. In the beginning i missed Vumatel calling me as they call in the morning (when i have meetings as i need to work to pay for my internet) and they call once a day. No emails, no phoning my office phone which i provided them with, nothing.

So can someone who reads this, please can you come and install my fiber! Please TAKE MY MONEY!!!! Absolutely ridiculous, i never write scathing reviews of companies because me being a businessman myself can understand things dont always go smoothly. But honestly, you could write a textbook on how NOT to run your business!
