Vuma's lack of redundancies make work from home impossible during loadshedding

We've been with vumatel for 3yrs and they've been reliable except during loadshedding. Last year this time it became evident that they didn't have battery or generator backups to keep the service going through loadshedding. Promises were made to ISP's that redundancies would be put in place, yet here we are again. This week alone our internet has been down for up to 3hrs each day and yesterday close to 6hrs- because each time there is loadshedding in Blairgowrie, where Vuma is located, their service goes down. As the most expensive fibre provider in the province please explain how you haven't installed reduncies for this known issue. Other fibre providers are not going down during loadshedding and they are starting to look like a much more attractive option right now. Our street of 100 are all looking to move from Vuma as most people work from home and rely on internet in the work week. If you could please give feedback to your clients as to what you plan to do this will help us decide whether it's worth paying a higher cost or moving to a more affordable and reliable internet provider.

Hello again Vuma. So you respond to me in a public forum but not on my private messages, so I'm going to keep this chain public. Yet again today we have had our internet connectivity disrupted 4 times. I spoke to our ISP who said they have no feedback from Vuma either, but are aware that Vuma has no plans to install battery back-up power. So all I want you to do is provide an honest answer as to whether or not Vuma has any intention of installing redundancies to ensure clients are receiving reliable internet during load shedding periods (and again I'm specifically referring to the issue that it's not when our grid is load shed, but rather when the grid that Vuma is on is load shed). You should be well aware that your competitors have installed redundancies and that we, along many others, are actively looking to move or are moving to them due to your inability to provide this.
