Useless service from Vumatel
App**** for a Fibre package with Afrihost who subcontract the Fibre installation service to Vumatel... I have never had to deal with such *********** service providers before - I’d rather be dealing with Telkom at this stage which says a lot. Afrihost I’d seriously rethink who you partner with.

19 Mar 2018, 12:34VUMA Team please accept my SINCERELY APOLOGIES. The fault of the application is not on the VUMA side (however this is what was intimated on a number of occasions) but rather on the AFRIHOST side. Our two separate applications were made online with Afrihost on 31 January. After much digging it has surfaced that Afrihosts AUTO order placement was rejected due to verification of address so needed to be MANUALLY processed and was again rejected due to verification of address. At this point their employee Nontobeko needed to follow up with Vuma to complete the processing... did this happen??? NO! This was only figured out after numerous frustrating calls to Afrihost to get to the bottom of our applications (calls which could cause even the calmest person to blow a fuse - like speaking to a Ms Lerato Mabatle who was logged in to the system under my details to see what the problem was, put me on hold, cut me off and NEVER bothered to call me back - *DESPICABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - Afrihost take note!*)... after yet another 47 minute call to Afrihost this processing error was very kindly & efficiently picked up (after much investigation on his part) by Richard Davies *FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE - Afrihost take note!* on 28 February I have only just received 2 x "Fibre - Order Submitted" and 1 x "Fibre - Order Accepted" notices but funnily enough, only after sending a number of emails through to Afrihost again this morning and calling their support department (and if this was made possible by the lovely Douglas Dube that assisted me I say THANK YOU *FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE - Afrihost take note!*). I am still waiting for details on WHEN the installation will be made as we are nearly 7 weeks down the road. Very frustrating. But NOT due to the VUMA Team.
