Unwilling to support a client when an ISP drops the ball, puts phone down in clients ear
Original issue February 2020 Relog of issue 10 June 2020
Current status No Connectivity / Extremely slow speed +- 200kb/s international speed less than 5mb/s local speed
ISP-188903 (NOT actioned by Vumatel - referred back to Afrihost insufficient information) *** (NOT actioned by Vumatel - logged by me personally and refused) IS****0593 (NOT actioned by Vumatel - referred back to Afrihost insufficient information)
When asking what I can do or to send me the process document so that I can ensure Afrihost logs a freaking ticket properly the lady as completely unwilling to assist, when I asked to escalate this issue to a manager she yet again refused. At this point telling her that during lockdown that literally affects my pay she hung up the phone in my ear.
GROW UP OR GROW A PAIR VUMA AND FIX YOUR OVER CONGESTED INFRASTRUCTURE!
Thank you for being in contact with us. Kindly note that you need to send the tracerts and speed test results to your ISP and the ISP will send it to send to our support team.

I am not a novice.
Connecting only to the CPE/ONT
Switched between PC / Laptop to rule out bad network cards
Even with the router same issue
Nowhere is there any transparency of whats going on in the conversation between Vumatel and Afrihost.
Or the fact that Vuma just closes tickets without actioning them (because the ISP didn't provide the right info) and the client is left in the dark.
More concerning was the poor customer service, putting down the phone in the customers ear?
