Untruthful, unreliable, poor service
Unfortunately Vumatel is the only fiber line provider in the area, otherwise I would have gotten someone else. When we experienced problems with our speeds dropping, I logged a query with Vox, and they were very helpful and quick to respond, saying Vuma had 3 days to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, the same could not be said about Vuma. For some reason, they still have the incorrect address on file, spammed me with calls within an hour on day 3 (Friday) when I was in a meeting, but ignored me when I tried to contact them back afterwards with availability and them stating a technician will be sent. No technician was dispatched even though they said they would on Friday (messages). Monday comes, Vox called and asked if the issue is still persisting as Vuma claims the issue is due to a UPS in the premises connected to the router. But no one had entered the premises or asked me about this whatsoever, and we do not have a UPS. Furthermore, we did indicate the issues started after their latest maintenance and were still ongoing to Vuma on Monday. Therefore, Vuma **** to resolve the issue and not deal with it. I tired contacting Vuma myself again about the persisting issue throughout the week and provided an alternative number for my husband in case they could not call me. Yet, all attempts were ignored (still are actually). On Wednesday, now a week after logging my issue, they tried the same spamming of calls again, with 7 calls within 30 minutes during a meeting, even though I had given them my husband's number - they had not tried to call him once. I was able to get ahold of a lady afterwards and they stated that a technician would be at the premises at 15:00. Great, I thought and made plans to be there. Nope. No technician pitched. He called and said they were still at a job and did not know when they would finish. I asked why then schedule it at 15:00. "We did not have any jobs, but then we got given jobs", was his response. Was coming to fix the fiber not also a part of their job? I understand some jobs take longer but this is the second time a technician has done this; the previous being earlier this year with the installation, when he gave me attitude (by saying I almost messed him around) for possibly not being able to stick around longer because I had work to do and he was over an hour late. They finally pitched up at 17:00 and was able to fix the problem. The whole experience was not very pleasant though, so I was planning on giving a poor review once the survey was sent out. But the link did not work, and instead I got an email reply saying the following: "Thank you so much for taking the time to complete our survey and for giving us such a high rating! We are so glad to hear that you had a positive experience with us. Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us, and it helps us to improve our products and services for you, our customers. We would appreciate it if you would share your experience with others by clicking on one of the links below." What is it with them and falsifying things? I do not know. But I will post the truth about my experience where they suggested I should post my "good review." Please, if there are other options, choose them over Vuma. Frogfoot was our previous fiber line holder and was 1000% better.
