tariff hike stupidity

just been informed this week that my CELLC fibre connection has been moved over to Vumatel and my monthly premiums will change on the 1st June from R699 to R949. Almost 35% increase. I've only had my contract for a year and i think that it is pretty disgusting the way they have gone abt their business. in these pandemic times, it is good to know that these companies are out to milk the consumer out of hard strapped cash. Disgusting.....CellC, and Vumatel are both to blame as neither has looked at options to keep tariffs the same till the contract runs out. I have to give 20 days notice to cancel and pay the penalties, but they are giving me 10 days notice to increase the rate......does that make business sense??????

thanks for the jargon explaination VUMATEL....utter *******. The costing of the tariff hike has nothing to do with connecting as many south africans as possible. you are milking the gravy train
