Sloppy word by

Vumatel is currently working in Kempton Park, digging up the pavements to lay their cables for fiber internet. They dig up a part of our outside driveway as well, and then put it back again. In my case, when they tried to put the paving in the driveway back, there were some paving bricks missing. They wanted some extra bricks from me, which is not right. Anyway, I gave them some extra bricks which I incidentally had, but, for some reason, they did not put it back. I spoke to the workers and to their foreman, and they promised again that they would fix the paving. However, nothing has happened and now, after a week, I have tried to put the bricks back by myself, and I discovered that the bricks would not fit into the remaining spaces. I assume that the workers experienced the same problem, and they just left it like that. There are still some workers around, digging up the opposite side of the road, but they tell me they can do nothing about my problem, since they are only working in the opposite side of the road. Actually, this should not have been my problem to start with. Now I have an opening in my driveway, and with the cars coming in and out of our driveway, the opening will certainly get bigger an bigger. It is not acceptable. I had no agreement with Vumatel about digging up my driveway, therefore, they should fix it.
