Shocking customer service and disregard
My fibre cable from the street became loose (but was working fine). Technicians from Brightlink (for Vuma) came out on 21 May at 14.30pm and tightened the cable. However as soon as they were done, I noticed that the connection had dropped, and has remained down since then.
I immediately called Vuma, asking them to send the technicians back, as their tightening work appears to have accidentally damaged the connection.
Since then I have been pushed from pillar to post, being told to wait 24-48 hours for someone to attend to me! My requests to speak to a manager were unsuccessful, as apparently the manager did not come to work, and no one else can assist me. (I find this very hard to believe with a company of Vumatel's size). The back-office managers refused to speak to me, as the ticket is still within 48 hours. Under normal circumstances this is (perhaps) understandable, but in a situation where the damage was CAUSED by one of your technicians, this is bizarre).
Instead of apologising for the inconvenience and attempting to rectify the mistake immediately, the client has simply been given a number in the queue.
Shocking customer service from a massive company which obviously isn't interested in its clients.
