Poor service and bad business practice from Vuma

If I could make it a 0 star rating I would. I have now been trying to setup fibre Internet through Afrihost for 8 days now. Afrihost make use of the infrastructure provided by Vumatel. The first issue was they could not locate my address, and I was told that my area was probably covered by some other service provider and they could not assist. This was despite me informing them that I have a box provided by Vuma in my home and my neighbours confirming that we are covered by Vuma. I was able to resolve the address issue myself through conversation with my neighbour who informed that Vuma have an old name of our complex on their system and that the address on their system is wrong as it has the road number as 0 instead of 13.

That address debacle was resolved, we then moved ahead to activation, this could not be done so a technician needed to come , he arrived and found out that a cable meant for my ONT box was cut and removed. I was then informed by neighbours that the cable was removed by a Vuma technician and installed in another tenant's box because their cable was damaged and our unit had not been occupied at that time. The Vuma technician did not bother to return and repair the line.

A technician was dispatched again on Saturday yo complete installation of a new line to my box, and stated I would receive my activation email within a few hours. This did not occur and I was told by Vuma my application for activation was stuck in progression, they advised I should call afrihost to cancel my application and create a new one in order to speed up my activation process, Afrihost attempted, and provide screenshots that the Vuma system did not allow them to make the cancellation, the only option available to me through Afrihost was to cancel the entire application And receive a R1000.00 penalty. I declined this option. Fast forward to today, and Vuma say my application is still stuck in progression, and has a turnover of about 48 hours as that department is different. I was informed that only after 48 hours, if no action was taken then something can be done. I have spent 100s of rands in airtime trying to resolve this only to be met with the same resp9ne each time, and all of this mess is because Vuma decided to remove a cable specifically issued for the ONT box in my unit and use it in another unit's ONT box and not return to repair it.
