Nightmare Fibre Installation.

I am completely disappointed in Vumatel. We have been struggling for 2 months for Vumatel to find our address to install a fibre connection. Yesterday by chance we had technicians dig a trench to lay the cable after stopping them thinking they were for us. They were not there to lay the cable but to survey the area. The 2 gentleman contacted their manager and got authority and layed the cable for us onto our property. They informed us that they have notified the service department and another technician would come out to splice which is the final stage to get a connection done. Nobody came out and today when contacting Vumatel we are again told that our address does not exist on the system. How does a street address just vanish on a system when the neighbour had Fibre installed and had no issues. We have even resorted to sending the GPS co ordinates and pictures from Google street view through to Vumatel and have no feedback. Trying to get this fibre has been a nightmare and has cost us the installation fee and loss of income with no sucess. It is a complete disgrace how they are operating as the installation fees are to be paid up front before any work is to be done and then no feedback, no calls, no communication once they have their money. As people working in the service industry, we would be out on the streets with no work if we had to provide service like Vumatel staff are doing. How do they install the boxes in the street and people in the area get fibre connections but our address just vanishes and they give address in area's which are nowhere near us. We even get calls from Vumatel to set up appointments for other people in different provinces for installation. I have never seen such unorganised and disgraceful service as what I have the past 2 months seen with Vumatel. They have cost more than an installation fee and still we sit with no internet connection and live in address which according to the call centres do not exist. I think Vumatel should look into sending the staff at the call centres for training in Geography and communication skills in order to provide the so called service which they offer. As Vumatel was the first to set the fibre cables in the area, we have no choice but to use them to have internet connection which is suitable for home office use. Really confused how they knew wheere to put the cables but dont know where to do connections.
