Monopolist
Very uncompetitive market. If Vumatel installed your fibre ... you are bound to them for life ... and they can control how they sell to the distributors like Vox, Webafrica, Supersonic etc. Opensource offer packages 200% cheaper than Vumatel. Eg. Vumatel 20/1 R899 and Opensource 25/25 R588!! More sad news - depending where you live, you dont have an option. Really!

Making sure we make a meaningful contribution to getting as many, if not all homes online, with fibre, and doing so profitably is not easy. While we cannot comment on other players in the industry, we are pleased to see that our first to market line speed relief initiatives offered during the hard lockdown last year is gaining momentum with other FNOs in the market. It has been our aim over the last seven years to give our customers the best quality infrastructure and to do so in the most sustainable way possible.
