Good day Neela

We hope that you are well

Thanks for reaching out! I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing slow internet speeds. Let's walk through some steps to help you troubleshoot the issue.
Step 1: Check Your Setup

Before you run any tests, it's a good idea to check your equipment and environment.
  • Restart your modem and router: Unplug both devices, wait about 30 seconds, then plug your modem back in. Once the modem is fully online, plug in your router.
  • Check your cables: Make sure all Ethernet cables are securely connected and free from damage.
  • Move closer to your router: The distance between your device and the router can significantly impact your Wi-Fi signal. Try moving closer to the router to see if your speed improves.

Step 2: Run a Speed Test

A speed test can give you an accurate reading of your current internet performance.
  • Disconnect other devices: For the most accurate result, make sure only one device is connected to your network while you run the test. This prevents other devices from using up bandwidth.
  • Use a reliable tool: You can use a free, trusted tool like Speedtest by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test  or Internet Speed Test .
  • Consider interference: Other wireless devices or electronics in your home can interfere with your Wi-Fi signal. If possible, try running the test on a different band (e.g., 5 GHz instead of 2.4 GHz) on your router to see if that helps.

Step 3: Contact Your Internet Service Provider (ISP)

If you're still experiencing slow speeds after trying these steps, your ISP is the best resource for further help. They can:
  • Confirm your service plan: They can tell you what speeds you should be getting.
  • Run diagnostics: They can perform checks on their end to see if there's a problem with their network or your connection to it.
  • Provide assistance: If you need help with any of these tests or troubleshooting steps, they can guide you through the process.

I hope this helps get you back on track. Let me know if you have any other questions. Don’t forget to give us your address and contact details as well when you respond.

Kind Regards
The Vuma Team

Best regards,

NM

Unfortunately, the ISP needs to attach the speed tests in the ticket for our teams. This is the process and they are aware.
