Exhausting, infuriating experience. Utterly unacceptable.

I have never experienced such unnecessary delays, miscommunication, and outright incompetence as I have with VUMA over the past week. In November, I arranged with Afrihost to relocate my fibre line to my new address for December. The previous tenants, who were with WebAfrica, cancelled and released their line well in advance, which WebAfrica has repeatedly confirmed.

And yet here I am, after days of calling Afrihost, VUMA, and WebAfrica since 1 December, still without an active fibre line at my new home. Afrihost cannot proceed because VUMA has still not updated their system to reflect that the line has been released, even though WebAfrica confirms it was done on their side long ago.

This was supposedly a 48–72 hour process. It is now 5 December, and NOTHING has been done despite multiple escalations. VUMA keeps insisting they need to “speak to WebAfrica,” but they simply do not, and the entire process has been left in limbo while I’m stuck without service I rely on to WORK!

The level of disorganisation, lack of communication, and complete absence of accountability is shocking. All the parties involved have done what they needed to, except VUMA. I have done everything in my power to get this resolved, and VUMA has done absolutely nothing to move the process forward.

This has been an exhausting, infuriating experience, and I would strongly caution anyone relying on VUMA to prepare for delays, escalations, and silence. Utterly unacceptable.
