Delays Delays week 5

Vumatel is the reason my fiber install is stuck in limbo.

It’s now week 5 since the line was physically installed, and every time I follow up I get the same line: “We’re still waiting on Vumatel to activate on their side.” No timeline, no urgency, no accountability.

How does it take 5 weeks to flip a switch on your end? Meanwhile I’m paying for a service I can’t use and getting zero communication unless I chase them myself.

If you’re with an ISP that uses Vumatel’s network, good luck. The installation team does their job, but Vumatel’s backend activation process is slow, broken and completely customer-hostile.

At this point it feels like they don’t care unless you’re already a paying customer. Avoid if you can.

Rating: 1/5 – Worst delays I’ve experienced with any ISP network provider.

The webafrica crew are saying the delay is caused by you guys. Seems you both can’t work together? Whats so difficult about activating the line ? For a whole month now without progress .

Case ***9: 5 Weeks Waiting on Vumatel ‘Activation’ – Zero Accountability

I’m writing this review for Vumatel because your delays are the sole reason I’ve been without internet for 5 weeks.

My fiber line was installed weeks ago. My ISP, Webafrica, escalated activation to Vumatel under Case Number ***9. I was told activation would take 24-48 hours after escalation.

It’s now week 5. Still no activation, still no internet, and still no communication from Vumatel. Every update I get is “activation is still underway” with no timeline and no explanation for why it’s taking this long.

Webafrica’s support team has been helpful and responsive, but they’re stuck waiting on you. Your backend process is broken if it takes over a month to activate a line that’s already physically installed.

I’m paying for a service I can’t use because Vumatel can’t complete a basic activation. This is unacceptable for an open-access network provider. Fix your process and communicate with customers.

You also give out a generic response without definite answer . You’re not confirming if it’s working or Not

Today it’s whole month without the connection and the webafrica crew is saying the delay is caused by Vumatel and there’s no progress
