**************** - AFRI**** AND VUMAFIBREOUTOFREACH

I had my Vuma Reach fibre installed by Britelink on Thursday at my house, the installation was complete by 12:30pm, the Britelnk engineers activated my line and ONT with Afrihost, they assured me everything was fine and i immediately received email and SMS notifications from Afrihost and Vumatel saying to me that my line and account has been successfully activated and live and i can browser to hearts content. I was then sent a username and password from Vumatel. I then went ahead and paid a penalty to immediately cancel my internet connection with Rain as Afrihost and Vumatel assured me me with their communication to me that i no longer needed Rain.

To my surprise when i tried to browse around 14:30pm, i could connect to the wifi but there was no internet access, i then reached out to Afrihost for assistance and was put in contact with Anelasiwe and thereafter Domonique from the Afrihost whatsapp chat, after resetting the ONT several times, they advised me that my gateway(192.168.18.1) was incorrect and that Vumatel had to correct this on their side, they then logged a ticket to Vumatel with ticket reference ISP527148

I have since spent over R200 airtime calling the Afrihost technical support team(Sipho M, Sandile M, Andros, Arthur T) they all advise me that they cannot assist me, I HAVE PAID YOU GUYS UP FRONT OF R529 AND STILL i have no internet connection as i write this complaint, my business is suffering losses and this is frustrating. I give Afrihost R800 business per month, is this the correct way to treat a client, if this is not resolved by end of business today Saturday, 14 August 2021, i will cancell all my services with Afrihost and move to a more profession, stable and reputable ISP - AND I DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR FREE INSTALLATION PENALTY AND\OR FREE ROUTER
