Brilliant in the Blairgowrie Johannesburg region!

I would like to commend Vumatel in the Blairgowrie area.

Summary: - Excellent turnaround time - On time arrival - Professional installation - Under an hour complete installation - Brilliant support team that follows up within 2 hours of issue logged - Brilliant support that were onsite within 24 hours of logging issues in property

Story: They came on Monday morning and did a quick and professional installation of my fibre line. Monday afternoon our Teen German Shepherd thought that the PVC pipe, housing the fibre cable connection into our property, would make a nice chew toy and then discovered that the PVC pipe had insides that could be pulled out. Needless to say we found 10m of cabling on the lawn when we got home from work.

I logged a call with my ISP (Afrihost) and they notified Vumatel on my behalf within minutes. Vumatel called me within an hour of the call being logged and on Tuesday morning they tried a different approach with the cabling at the wall. The solution held the afternoon but then in the early morning hours the dog decided to investigate and we woke up on Wednesday to our cables being on the lawn again.

Wednesday morning the fibre maintenance team called us again after notifying them of the problem and in the afternoon they were there to inspect. They suggested that the cable be run on top of the wall instead of in the ground. Vuma tried to call me in the late afternoon to schedule a time but I missed the call. Thursday morning they called again to set up a time to come to my property and today (friday morning) the line was rerouted onto the wall, with the cable not entering from the ground into our property but instead it goes up directly onto our border wall from outside and the dogs cant touch it!
