Bad Service

On the 12th of September, Vumatel laid some cables at Carmel Avenue in Northcliff. The work was completed within 2 weeks, but when the contractors left, everything was in shambles. There were bricks lying around, open holes in the ground, cement bags lying around and the grass has been destroyed… Us as residents, ended up having to clear it up ourselves, My sprinkler system, which was just repaired before that time, was also damaged in the process.

Since the 29th of September, we contacted them numerous times, requesting them to install new grass and to repair the sprinklers, We received a response from Mr John Rogers from Vumatel responded "l will speak to our teams on the ground and get this sorted for you during next week."

On the 26th of October, we again requested feedback. The following was the response from them. "The project manager has informed me that the block is still currently in build and they are aware of the issue and are attending to it. I will continue to push from my side to get this resolved
Nathan Ernest Vumatel"

Nathan who is the area manager, came out to my house about 2 weeks ago to see what the damages was. We were informed that they will fix the problem. This morning we spoke to Nathan again for about the 4th time, and according to him, the contractor is still busy working on the block and he will make a priority to repair the grass as well as the one broken sprinkler as soon as they get to my street. This is the same answer we have received for the past month.

This has been going on for more than a 3 months, e-mail after e-mail phone call after phone call. Every time the same story. Everything is still the same. This is seriously very bad service

Good day Michael,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and understand your frustration. We are still in the construction phase of the build. As soon as the construction phase is done we will enter the reinstatement phase which is where we will reinstate the sidewalk back to its original state, by laying grass. We have made the fibrehood manager of Northcliff aware of this issue so that he can investigate this and follow up.

Please email us your address & contact details to *** so that we can follow up as well.

Kind Regards

The VUMA Team
