Bad service
I am highly disappointed with the service department at Vaal Toyota Vereeniging. On 23 September, I brought my vehicle in at 10:00 AM to have the brake pads changed. My car was assigned to a service advisor named Dianna, and the experience was completely unprofessional from start to finish. Dianna failed to communicate with me at all. She did not even give me a price estimate or ask for my approval; they simply went ahead and did the work without speaking to me first. I sat and waited for five hours until 3:00 PM (15:00) with zero updates. Eventually, another lady approached me to demand payment. It was only at that point—after I had to ask what was going on—that they finally checked and realized my work was actually covered by my vehicle cover. Leaving a customer stranded for five hours without updates, executing unauthorized work without discussing pricing, and failing to check cover details beforehand is unacceptable. Dianna clearly lacks the energy and communication skills required for this job—she seems tired and ready for pension. The management needs to address this complete lack of customer service.

Very disappointing
The worst experience in my history of vehicle purchasing. They sold me a broken and unroadworthy vehicle in January, without disclosing any fault. I noticed it on the first day driving it back home and that was the least of their worries. Had to run after them and to date, they're still ignoring my calls and emails. I'm very disappointed in them

About 2 months ago, I purchased a Toyota Hilux from Vaal Toyota. At the time of sale, I was assured that the vehicle was in good condition and that if anything went wrong within 6 months, they would take responsibility and assist. Unfortunately, since taking delivery, the vehicle has had multiple issues and breakdowns. It has not been reliable, and I’ve had to take it back repeatedly. What’s most disappointing is that when I approached the dealership to resolve this, they refused to take the vehicle back. They offered me much less than what I paid them 2 months ago and I have barely driven it. This has had a serious impact on me personally and professionally. I rely on my vehicle for my businesses, and being without a reliable car has resulted in significant financial loss, as well as additional costs like fuel just to keep taking it back for checks. I’m currently trying to resolve this directly with Vaal Toyota and hope they will do the right thing and honour both their promises and their obligations under the Consumer Protection Act. I’m sharing this not out of anger, but to be transparent about my experience and to encourage accountability. If anyone from Vaal Toyota or Toyota South Africa can assist in resolving this matter, I would appreciate it. Willie gave me his word and did not honor it. Additionally had they kept their word I would've bought many more vehicles from them. I have a mobile business and was looking for a fleet of hilux vehicles. I would've also recommended them to my network, friends and family. I think it's very shortsighted of them. They literally would've have lost no money by honoring their word and now have lost a lot of future business. I will update this post as the situation progresses.
