TT Disconnect: Hold past if you want reliable Fibre Service

TT Connect is not interested in doing business properly. They have endless excuses, do not deal with end customers (only ISP's) yet expect end customers to sign documents with them whilst the end customer has no contract with them and cannot be helped by their support teams anyway. They send documents for signature (without which your service will be disconnected) which expires within 24 hours after it has been sent (at which time it cannot be signed anymore), do not resend the document and do not follow up before disconnecting service. They are basically not contactable with 10 minute plus wait times on their IVR. The ISP's have the same issues with them just in order to escalated a problem with them. Ifyou take service from this Fibre backbone provider you better hope and pray that everything remains up because once it goes down it just about stays down. There is no urgency in getting any problem resolved. In most cases though they are the only option if you need fibre and as a result they don't have to provide any service as getting a refund for non-service or payment for losses suffered due to their incompetence is just as impossible as getting reliable service.

Good Afternoon Riaan.

We are sorry to hear about this and thank you for bringing this to our attention.

The procedure currently is that we deal directly with the ISP, The ISP will have to perform primary investigations on their router etc., once they have determined that the issue is our side they will escalate the ticket to us. We will then proceed to contact you and perform investigations from our side. Your single point of contact will always remain your ISP.  For updates on tickets logged the ISP will have to be contacted, they in turn will request feedback from us. Currently only ISP's are able to contact us directly as all tickets should  be logged with your ISP.

I am sorry for any inconvenience caused sir.

Kind Regards

TT Connect

Reviewer Update
I have been a customer all of 6 days. I have been "apologised" to 67 times in that period, mostly in writing. The issue here was not physical. It was administrative. In addition to this "administrative" failure on the side of TT Connect it took TT Connect 20 hours to restore service AND I lost R4000 in the process, mostly due to the fact that TT Connect does not feel it is necessary to communicate and has some kind of God complex. There are process issues here, substantial process issues which your firm has no intention to understand or address otherwise you would have had someone call me and try and remedy so that it does not happen again. That did not happen. My mother always used to say that an apology only means something if it leads to changed behaviour. This is clearly not the case here.

Good afternoon Riaan.

The Ticket ref that you provided: 49241  was only logged to TT Connect on  Mar 17, 2021 05:58 PM by your ISP and closed on  Mar 18, 2021 11:08 AM. We do have Technical support after hours but your ticket was logged for a blocked account and unfortunately our accounts department does not work after hours hence you were assisted the following morning.

Again I do apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Regards

TT Connect
