Disgusting service

I have completed an application to have TooMuchWifi installed at my place in Loevenstein, money was deducted within seconds. The techs came out to try and install the WiFi, which they couldn’t because their signal is not strong enough to reach my home, that is fine- I then had to waste my airtime to call their contact centre to request for a refund, the first person hung up and never called back, the second agent took my number and promised to call back, this never happened. I then called for a 3rd time, this lady requested I send my banking details and I sent my Capitec details, she said refund will take 3-5 working days, I was obviously not happy since money was deducted in seconds when signing up, I then asked which bank they using, she said FNB, I then opted to rather send my FNB details, hoping to get my money on the same day to get a WiFi provider that are able to give me the services. Nope, regardless if we using the same bank, I still need to wait 3-5 working days, this people just don’t care, I obviously need the WiFi, hence applying. I am in disbelief how companies are still so ****ty with customers even in this tough economy! This is the reason why so many business are failing. I will definitely report this to the OMBUDSMAN TOO.

Hi Chesree,

Thank you for your feedback regarding your experience with the process. We apologise that you were not provided with sufficient information about the process as a whole.

To address your concern regarding the payment being deducted immediately: your application was submitted online last year, with the last activity recorded in September 2025. It would have been advisable to enquire further before making any payment to confirm whether your application was still active and whether coverage was applicable. Had this been done, we would have been able to advise you of the possibility that coverage may not be available due to the distance. We also apologise that the agents you spoke to did not clearly explain the refund process. Although you bank with the same institution, we are required to follow our internal refund procedures. Refunds are captured and released twice a week. Due to the public holidays during the festive period, these scheduled releases were delayed.

Your query was logged today and escalated to the Accounts Department. Once the refund has been captured, it will be released during the next scheduled refund cycle, after which it may take 3–5 business days to reflect in your account. This is our standard process, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. Please note that card payments are processed immediately, and unfortunately cannot be delayed or reversed instantly.
Trust this is in order.

Your response is as ****ty as the service provided- if you know coverage might have changed in certain areas, why allow the option for the client to proceed with payment link . Next time remove the old link and make it compulsory for us to restart the application process from starting point to ask whether there is coverage or not. I think I have dodged a bullet with this company!

Hi Chesree,

I understand your frustration, however, we won't accept such language when communicating with us. We have provided you with all the details regarding the process and we apologise that no further checks were done by you before making the payment.
You originally did an online application which will accept the payment as it was an online application which was done long ago and it hadn't expired, however, you should have checked if all the relevant details you had entered previously were correct before making payment.

We trust this is in order.
